The world’s leading greenhouse gas (GHG) crediting program, the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) requires independent, third-party verification and projects can only request the issuance of VCUs (Verified Carbon Units) upon successful verification. This ensures the integrity of the projects and increases trust that impact is achieved on the ground. 
 
As of August 2023, SustainCERT is an official Validation and Verification Body for Verra’s Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) Program and offers verification services for projects that are reducing GHG emissions from fuel consumption under the following scopes:
